The Civil Air Patrol Cadets will be at the museum offering educational activities about aviation and related topics at the museum. There is no additional fee for this event.
Education stations include:
1. Propulsion/Newton’s Laws of motion. Students will watch a balloon airship experiment then make a straw rocket plane.
2. Bernoulli Principal. Watch a demo with ping pong balls then make a paper airplane with airfoil wings.
3. The Importance of wings/fins and making a rubber band powered rocket.
4. How a Helicopter works and making a simple card stock helicopter. (Especially of interest for the younger students).
5. Making a simple egg carton plane with a brief explanation of wings, weight, and lift. (Especially of interest for the younger students).
