U.S. Entered World War I on April 6, 1917. The U.S. joined its allies–Britain, France, and Russia to fight in World War I. Under the command of Major General John J. Pershing. The museum is proud to display a 1917 Curtiss JN-4D Jenny Biplane that trained almost 90 percent of all allied pilots. Also on display is a local USAAC aviators uniform, flights logs, and accessories. Visit the museum to see these rare artifacts today.

The museum is saddened to learn of the passing of Norman Hameister, a long time museum restoration volunteer and tour guide. He served our country as a Seabee in WWII and was an accomplished private pilot as well as an active member of the local veterans Honor Flight. You will be missed. God speed and wings level.
