Bell Aircraft Test Pilot – Jack Woolams was the first to fly the Bell XS-1 Research Aircraft and for a total of 26 consecutive flights.

Calspan provided their beautiful flight research facility will a full scale replica of the Bell XS-1 for the dedication ceremony. It was a fitting location to honor Larry Bell and the Bell Aircraft Corporation.
